The world’s largest manufacturer of AI hardware. The Israeli military uses several Nvidia products and services.

Nvidia is one of the world’s largest companies by market capitalization and the world’s largest supplier of hardware for artificial intelligence (AI) applications, as well as graphics processing units and other hardware and software for high-performance computing.

The Israeli military uses multiple Nvidia products. Several purchases of Nvidia products were disclosed by the Israeli Ministry of Defense during Israel’s 2023-2025 genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. They include products that are designed for AI applications, like Jetson cards and DGX.

The contracts themselves are not public, so it is unclear what units in the military use them, and for what purpose. However, Israel’s 2023-2025 genocidal war on Gaza has made extensive use of AI systems - including The Gospel, Lavender, and Where's Daddy? - to target Palestinians at unprecedented scale. Nvidia could therefore be potentially implicated in these war crimes.

Since these purchases were disclosed in a database that records only unclassified contracts that the military awarded without a public tender process, this represents only part of the full extent of Nvidia products that the Israeli military uses.

Beyond that, Nvidia has had a large and influential presence in Israel since 2016. Its 2019 acquisition of Israeli company Mellanox for $6.9 billion represents Nvidia’s largest acquisition ever and the third largest acquisition of an Israeli tech firm. Nvidia's second largest research and development center outside of the U.S. is in Israel, and 13% of its global workforce is in Israel as of 2024.

In 2023, Nvidia launched Israel-1, one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, in partnership with Dell. Housed in Nvidia’s Israeli data center, Israel-1 is designed to serve the company’s R&D team and other “selected partners."
