A US retail company that sells household items, apparel, home furnishings, food, and other merchandise. It sells products that are produced using prison labor.

Target Corporation, headquartered in Minneapolis, is the sixth-largest retail company in the U.S. It operates 1,948 retail stores in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. In 2023, the company employed approximately 440,000 people and generated just over $109 billion in revenue.

Target sells eggs produced by Hickman's Family Farms, a private, Arizona-based egg company that has used prison labor for decades. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals incarcerated in Arizona were moved from their prison to a Hickman's warehouse, where they worked for less than $3 an hour for 14 months. Hickman's has faced numerous lawsuits alleging that unsafe working conditions at its production facilities have led to incarcerated workers sustaining serious injuries.

Target's company policies explicitly prohibit its suppliers from using prison labor, stating that the use of such labor is "a zero tolerance violation."
