The company's equipment has been used at the Kalia Solar Field, one of the largest commercial solar fields that Israel built on occupied Palestinian land. In addition, ABB is involved in providing security systems to an electrical substation that provides electricity to illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The use of ABB equipment has also been documented at a solar field in the Negev—planned and funded by Enlight Renewable Energy—that supplies electricity to some 18,000 households in Israel. Palestinian citizens of Israel live close to this solar field—in "unrecognized" villages—with no access to public services, including electricity.
